And in other news, I managed to do another quick comic for the Tortall Comics Project. This is based off the book Terrier, which is the first in the Provost’s Dog series by Tamora Pierce. Enjoy!

• Graduated from college
• Made the inevitable transition from PC to Mac
• Moved to Portland
• Secured my first ever apartment
• Supported myself as a freelance artist
• Worked on a major new title (Memorial, of course!)

I’m not sure how I’ll top this year as far as accomplishments. Throughout my life, graduation has always been a high point, right before I get thrown back to the bottom of the heap as a terrified freshman. I guess now I’m a freshman at life, and my one goal for 2012 is to get better at it, however slowly.

I hope everyone can look fondly back on this year, and best wishes going into the next. Here’s the nerdy picture I promised.

Coloring this book has been my main project for the last few months, and I’m thrilled that it’s now in reader’s hands. Written by Chris Roberson, penciled and inked by Rich Ellis, it is an expansive modern fantasy story that won high praise from USA Today. You can read an 11 page preview online, and if you like what you see, make sure to pick up a copy at your local comic shop!

The inks for my Ocarina of Time piece are complete! I’m sending it along to my soon-to-be-revealed guest colorist now, and here’s a little teaser piece to tide you over.

This was, of course, the winner of my November poll. Have a say in the illustration I do next month by voting in the box on your right!

This current Fullmetal Alchemist poll closes on January 5th. You can vote for two characters here, and even squeak in a third vote on my deviantart page!

This was a fairly unsurprising victory. Ocarina of Time has been commonly lauded as one of the best games of all time, and it is my personal favorite game. Not to say I was biased– I used my vote on Perfect Dark, which was another excellent game and a not-far-off second place. I may have a rematch at a later date, but for now, you can expect Zelda art by the end of December. Besides my lineart, I have a special guest colorist that I know will blow everybody’s minds!

To keep yourself occupied in the meantime, why not vote in the poll for January’s fanart? It’s for Fullmetal Alchemist characters, and you can choose two!

A member approached me to help on her entry from the Song of the Lioness Quartet. Our division of the work doesn’t break down easily, so I’m only posting a few of the pages that I did full art on (pencils, inks, tones, and letters!). I apologize that this does not make the story comprehensible, but it may not have been anyway without the context of the book.

The express purpose will be to see what the viewers of my site would like to see me draw. I’ll have a new one up each month. For December, I’ll be drawing fanart for one of my favorite N64 games! Cast your vote on the right.

Also, I colored the frightening yet festive Johnny Zombie webcomic, created by the amazing Karl Kesel and featuring some sharp pencils by David Hahn. New pages are up every Monday and Thursday. There are few comics of this caliber on the Internet or off, so check it out!
