Last year, I posted a summary of my accomplishments of the year, my aspirations for the next, and a super nerdy D&D drawing. Allow me to do exactly the same thing now. This year, I have:
- Graduated from college
- Made the inevitable transition from PC to Mac
- Moved to Portland
- Secured my first ever apartment
- Supported myself as a freelance artist
- Worked on a major new title (Memorial, of course!)
I’m not sure how I’ll top this year as far as accomplishments. Throughout my life, graduation has always been a high point, right before I get thrown back to the bottom of the heap as a terrified freshman. I guess now I’m a freshman at life, and my one goal for 2012 is to get better at it, however slowly.
I hope everyone can look fondly back on this year, and best wishes going into the next. Here’s the nerdy picture I promised.
Well, we’ve almost made it to a new decade! I hope everybody can look back fondly on the year past. Here’s a quick recap of my own 2010:
- Big improvements in art
- Created and maintained this website
- Lived in France
- Lived in Portland
- Decided what I’m going to do after I graduate (!)
- Did minor work for major comic companies
- Made lots of new friends
- Went to a gay bar with lots of old friends
- Dealt with computer failure, a day job, and an evil landlady
It’s like I’m an adult now!
Well. Almost. I feel like 2011 will be the deciding factor in that uphill battle. I still have to work my way to the end of my college career, save up a bunch of money, move halfway across the country, and learn to fend for myself without the comfort of a large grey housecat drooling on my pants… but I’m confident that I can manage.
So happy New Year’s, everyone! To celebrate, I give you the nerdiest picture in the world a picture of my boyfriend’s and my own D&D characters about to kiss. D’aww.
